Our pharmaceutical candidates are uniquely modified peptides acting on opioid receptors. We have succeeded in developing a unique peptide as a candidate drug possessing anti-ischemic, cardio protective and analgesic activity for use as a pharmaceutical.

Eribis peptides have been characterised in preclinical study models where receptor binding, analgesia, as well as MI have been performed delivering promising results. The Proof of Concept studies are done and have confirmed the cardio protective effects. The candidate drug (CD) is selected and the preclinical and safety package will be started in 2010. The clinical development will be initiated during 2011, with acute MI as the selected clinical indication. The drug will be administered through intravenous injection.

Eribis’s Candidate Drug will decreases the ischemic damage of heart muscle significantly compared to placebo and is more effective than the currently used drugs according to the pre-clinical studies done to date. It has in pre-clinical studies been shown that the peptides have organ and tissue protective properties, including anti-hypoxic activity which will be investigated further for other product indications.
